Marc Jacobs The J Marc Bag In A Rainbow Of Colours

The J Marc handbag design has become an icon in the accessories world as of late. It’s a shoulder bag crafted in smooth leather and sealed by the J Marc hardware. Not only does it come in classic colours like black and brown, the summer releases were incredible! A whole rainbow of shades from pink, purple and blue to green, yellow and orange, with some of them being flavoured with neon. I’m yet to own this beautiful bag, but having looked online at them for weeks, I can give you a mini review and the lowdown on what the J Marc has to offer, so here is my first review on Thatbagtheseshoes.com

The Size – The height of this bag is 8.25 inches (21cm), the length is 10.25 inches (26cm), the depth is 5 inches (13cm), the strap drop is 21.75 inches (55cm), and the handle drop is 4 inches (10cm). I’d say this is the perfect size for daily errands without being too big or too small.

The Straps – There are three ways to wear the J Marc by Marc Jacobs, meaning you can go from formal to casual by swapping the chain shoulder strap with the webbing crossbody strap, or carry it strapless as a clutch for an evening event. The chain allows you to wear it as a shoulder bag, with elegance, while the fabric strap is adjustable and allows you to wear it as a shoulder bag or a crossbody version during the daytime, depending on your mood, and since both are removable, the clutch option is perfect too!

The Design – All of these bags in this collection are made from smooth cow leather and feature a magnetic closure, with the J Marc lock. They come with one interior slip pocket, 1 interior zip pocket, 1 back slip pocket, and a faille lining. Depending on what colour you choose, there’s a different shade of the lining to complement the leather. I love details like this!

The Price – It wouldn’t be a proper review without the price included, so this Marc Jacobs The J Marc Bag retails at $395. There are some discount codes for some of the stores I have linked to, which are Bloomingdales and Shopbop, so when you click through, you can pick it up a little cheaper, but I think that’s a reasonable price for a bag of this quality from Marc Jacobs. I’m sure we are going to be seeing it on many bloggers and celebrities soon!

Overall Opinion – I always give my personal opinion, so for this Marc Jacobs The J Marc Bag review, I’m rating it highly! I love the various colours that it comes in and I would probably pick Byzantium (purple) or Green Glow as the purses I purchased, as I just think they’re so bright and cool. I’d rather go for something more classic in black or brown, like a Chanel WOC or a Saint Laurent 5A7, and reserve the pops of colour for a fun piece like this. I love the 3 ways to wear concept, and the smooth leather, so I don’t think you can go wrong with this bag for the summertime! What’s your opinion?
